Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. Minor in System and Industrial Engineering.

Sayyed Mohsen Vazirizade

My bachelor degree is in Civil Engineering; my master is in risk and earthquake engineering, Sharif University 2015. Furthermore, I have a certificate from Johns Hopkins University,2018, for data science, including the following topics: The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, R Programming, Getting and Cleaning Data, Exploratory Data Analysis, Reproducible Research, Statistical Inference, Regression Models, Practical Machine Learning, Developing Data Products. I'm a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Arizona, Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. Supported by NSF, my focus of research is risk estimation, uncertainty modeling, and artificial intelligence. The aim of this project is developing an intelligent and integrated software for reliability estimation of dynamic nonlinear complex systems in time-domain. Simultaneously, I teach 2 engineering courses each semester; my research is concerned with Engineering Statistics and machine learning.
