Exploratory Data Analysis in R - Transforming Like a Data…Transformer

When

12:30 – 2 p.m., Oct. 17, 2022

Raw data is rarely ready for analysis. Data skew in particular can bias the results of your analyses which can lead to using less powerful statistical tests. Data transformation is a particularly useful tool to prepare your data by shifting skewed distributions it towards a normal distribution (bell curve).

In this workshop attendees will test data normality and transform numerical data distributions from a data set using the dlookr package in the R programming language.

Objectives

  1. Load and explore a data set with publication quality tables
  2. Quickly diagnose non-normality in data
  3. Data transformation
  4. Prepare an HTML summary report showcasing data transformations
