Beginning in 2023, all National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant applications or renewals that generate scientific data must now include a robust and detailed plan for how you will manage and share data during the entire funded period. This includes information on data storage, access policies/procedures, preservation, metadata standards, distribution approaches and more.
In this workshop we will:
1) Briefly summarize NIH requirements and introduce components of data management plans (20-30min)
2) Discuss and exchange feedback with other health science researchers on data management procedures specifically for health science data (any remaining time)
Researchers are strongly encouraged to view this video series on the National Institutes of Health Data Management Sharing Plan Updates and Guidance prior to attendance so we can deep dive into health science specific questions and concerns of operationalizing the plan.
Please complete the registration form. This workshop is virtual and available on June 22, July 20, and Aug. 17 at 2 p.m.
