PHI and DUAs and IRBs, oh my! Data Management and Sharing Plans for the 2023 NIH Requirement

When

2 – 3:30 p.m., Aug. 17, 2022

Beginning in 2023, all National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant applications or renewals that generate scientific data must now include a robust and detailed plan for how you will manage and share data during the entire funded period. This includes information on data storage, access policies/procedures, preservation, metadata standards, distribution approaches and more.

In this workshop we will:

1) Briefly summarize each section of a typical data management plan

2) Talk through all new NIH requirements

3) Break down data management topics specific to the health sciences

4) Discuss and exchange feedback with other health science researchers on data management procedures specifically for health science data

Researchers are strongly encouraged to view this 2018 workshop on Writing Effective Data Management Plans prior to attendance so we can deep dive into health science specific aspects of the plan.

Please complete the registration form. This workshop is virtual and available on June 22, July 20, and Aug. 17 at 2 p.m.
